LOCTITE 542 Thread Sealant. Anaerobic. Medium disassembly strength. For fixing and sealing metal pipes and pipe fittings as well as other cylindrical metal assemblies. Prevents self-looseness and leakage due to shocks and vibrations. Instant low pressure seal. Cures without contact with air between closely fitted metal surfaces. Resistant to fuel, oil, coolant and hydraulic fluids. Only for metal threads. DVGW approval (EN 751-1): NG-5146AR0855. Fast sealing against low pressures: 20% or 8 minutes on steel parts Maximum sealing pressure: 24 hours over 350 bar Maximum gap filling: 0.25 mm.
